What is the best age to begin reading the Harry Potter books to my children?

Shared by Karin:
I have two children. One is five and one is three months old. The oldest has had to deal with the death of his maternal grandfather, his paternal grandmother, his maternal great-grandmother, and his paternal great-grandfather. He is scared sometimes at night and has a very sensitive heart– he’s very disturbed by the violence of others. I am wondering when to introduce the kids to the books, since they will all be out before they begin reading any of them. How to pace them, when to start. When will it mean the most, since there is no longer any waiting between releases. I have not read any of the books in the series myself.
