What are some good places to see in Alaska?
My husband and I are planning a trip to Alaska in August. I would like to know of some good places to visit. We will be flying in to Anchorage and staying approximately 10 days. We are looking in to renting an RV so we can travel around as we wish.
I would love some ideas/advice from anyone who has been. We would like to know places to visit, see, or stay. As well as opinions on whether it’s better to do a land or sea trip.

I have seen most of the state from the air, and I have to say nothing compares to it. Around Southcentral I would recommend Homer, Seward, Kodiak, Denali National Park, Girdwood, Valdez/Prince William Sound. In Southeastern Alaska I would suggest Sitka, Juneau, and Haines. I highly recommend taking a flightseeing tour out of Talkeetna (near Denali).
