Best way to clean soft toys with electronic parts?

I have a bunch of second-hand baby and toddler toys that are stuffed but that have battery-operated parts which can’t be removed without permanently disabling them. I want to clean/disinfect them thoroughly and without toxins for my grandson. Any good methods?
